This is the 3.1 edition which improves upon the Original GrowPole.

What’s different from the Standard sized GrowPoles?

The GrowPole 3.1 Large is significantly more rigid than the standard sized poles, suitable for larger specimens such as Philodendron Billietiae, Golden Dragon, Maximum, Melanochrysum, Gigas, Jose Buono; Monstera Deliciosa, Borsigiana, Esqueleto and so on.

It costs more to make than PP as PET needs to be cut through 100% of its thickness to yield a clean edge. The metal die wears much faster than when cutting polypropylene which will cut through at 70% depth.

However the extra rigidity of PET is required for larger specimens.

What is new?

Gen 3 GrowPoles are all front opening. Why is this version 3.1 instead of 3.0?

3.1 is an improved front opening design. Instead of the T shaped notch to prevent substrate from falling out, while reducing the number of clips, 3.1 features clipless fingers instead. The clipless fingers allows larger roots to enter the GrowPole unobstructed and makes plant removal even more stress free.
